Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Berkeley, CA, Covariant is the developer of an AI-based Robotic System that enables Automation in Warehouse & Fulfilment environments across Apparel, Pharma, Health & Beauty, Industrial and e-Commerce / Retail verticals, with Manufacturing environments in the roadmaps (inbound approach by Porsche / Volkswagen). Covariant was founded by Peter Chen, Rocky Duan, Tianhao Zhang and Pieter Abbeel. The group met at University of California Berkeley and have a combination of electrical engineering and computer science backgrounds.
